Well I’m getting ready to have some serious “me” time. In about a week’s time my two children will be back in school and once again I will have the house all to myself! I can’t wait! It’s been such a long summer having these two underfoot and with all their fighting, I’ve been slowly going crazy. But all this will end in about a week. Then I will have loads of time to get busy with all my crafting, cleaning and I might even have a bit of time to browse the local jobs ads. But… all I have to do now is put in this last week and I will once again be a free woman (at least during the day).

So I have made some decisions regarding my online life. Currently I spend a lot of time on the computer and I think I’m getting burnt out. So I have made some heavy decisions. When the kids go back to school (in less than two weeks) I’m going to cut back the amount of time I spend on my computer. I’m going to cut back on a few blogs (currently I have seven), slow down a bit on the general transcription and then try to get my crafting business back up and running. If I need some extra cash I can always pick up some extra shifts at work. So these are my plans for now.

Three weeks from today my children will be back on that yellow school bus! Yay! They have been home on school vacation for almost two months and I am so ready for them to go back to school. They have been fighting so much this summer that it has prompted me to check out some Branson vacation packages just in case I need to get away. No, I’m kidding it’s not quite that bad. But I can tell you I will be one happy momma in about three weeks.

So a little over a year ago I began a small crafting home business. I sold a few pieces of jewelry and sold a couple of quilts but that was about it. Then I got discouraged and kind of gave up on the entire thing. Well I’m back at it with a vengeance. I have started purchasing promotional items in order to get my name out there and I have started a new website for advertising. I’m really going to give this my all this time and hopefully I can get this thing up and running.

Holy smokes! It’s going to cost me a fortune this year to send my two children back to school. On Saturday we decided to get a head start on all the shopping and I walked out of the store $323.00 poorer. Now this was mainly clothes and a small amount of school supplies. I still have to finish buying the rest of the school supplies, pay student fees and start stocking up on lunch supplies. I only have to put two kids through school now. I can just imagine what others are paying that have three, four or five children.

This weekend my husband and I plan to continue our house hunting. We have set up two appointments to see two different homes. One of the homes is located near my husband’s work so that would be a perfect location for him to travel back and forth to his job. The only drawback with this site is that their are a lot of steel buildings around the house so not much of a view.
The other house is very much in the country which would be a totally awesome place to raise kids. But if we moved into this house, I would have to quit my job. So their are drawbacks and bonuses to each location. I guess we will just have to wait and see which house we like the best.

Well today is a very special day at our house. Today is my daughter’s 12th birthday. And along with that tomorrow is my youngest son’s 10th birthday. So we have a lot of celebrating to do today. The kids have always celebrated their day together and this year is no different. This is what we do. On my daughter’s birthday they get their presents and on my son’s birthday they get their cake. This has worked out very well over the years and both kids get such a kick out of celebrating together.

Every time you turn on the radio or the TV lately all you hear about is the crime rate in our area and how fast it’s climbing. It gets a little depressing every once in a while. Well our local government is trying to stem this flow of activity. They have sent up a location where troubled teens and youth can get some help through a non 12 step program. I think this is an excellent idea. It just seems like more and more youth are getting themselves in messes that they can’t seem to get out of. Hopefully this site will help out these teens and make our area just a bit more safer to live in.
