Time is ticking away

Holy smokes! One month from today and the kids will be finished school and out for their summer break. Where has the time gone?? So I guess I got to get busy and find some grading presents for the two of them. I’m 100% my daughter will grade this year and about 90% certain my son will make it. I have a few ideas on what to get these kids for another great year. I have been looking on how to save on mixtrack pro as a present for my son and have been checking out different items for my daughter. My daughter is super hard to buy for but my son is quite easy to find purchases for as right now he is heavily into music so any type of music present would be right up his alley. So as time is ticking, I’d best get to work.

The family is on the mend

With this crazy weather we’ve been having lately I can’t seem to keep the kids from getting sick. Both have been home last week with the flue and cold and for a little while there I was starting to wonder if either one of them were ever going to get better. But they both seem to be on the mend today so maybe these sicknesses are coming to an end. I sure hope so. They both only have about a month of school left and I would sure love to keep them both in school for this final month.

Working from home

After almost a year of staying at home with the children and no amount of income coming in, I’ve finally found some work I can do from home. A few years ago I was working for a company doing general transcription but had to stop working for them due to time constraints. Well last week they sent me an e-mail asking if I would be interested in working for them again and of course I said yes. So now I will have some income coming in every now and then. I don’t know how steady the work is at this point. But honestly I take what I can get at this point. I think when I get some cash saved up I’ll look into how to design your own mothers rings so I can purchase the supplies needed and add them to my home crafting business that I am also trying to set up. Life is good! For right now anyway.

Summer plans

It’s quite amazing how time flies these days now isn’t it. It seems like just yesterday it was cold, miserable and December and now it’s almost the middle of May. So with time rushing by so fast, my husband and I have started to think about what we would like to do with the kids this summer. Now normally we take a lot of camping trips and don’t travel to far, but we are kind of looking outside the box this year. Both the kids are getting older and getting so that they really don’t want to do a lot with us anymore so we are kind of thinking this might be the last summer where we will all get together for some fun family time.

It is for this reason that we are seriously considering taking a long trip somewhere. I’m not real sure if we could afford a great vacation such as one like wisconsin dells resorts but we are sure going to try. I have been doing some checking on the Internet and have come across some great prices and amazing attractions that can be had with a wisconsin dells resort vacation. They offer attractions like water parks, sports activities, amazing hotels and even spa treatments. These resorts offer anything and everything a family of four could possibly ever think of wanting.

I don’t know if a vacation like this is in the cards for us this year but if we can come up with the extra cash, I seriously think we could end up in this area. I’m not working right now, so getting time off for me isn’t a real problem and my husband still has two weeks of vacation left from his work. So… I’m going to do a little more research on this amazing opportunity and hopefully this will be the year that we can have an amazing family vacation to remember for many years to come.

Beautiful weather

I have to tell you all that I am absolutely loving our spring weather that we have been given as of late. Earlier this spring it was cold, snowy and windy and I honestly had to wonder if “Spring” was actually here or if we missed it. But this last week has truly shown me that spring has arrived. We have had three consecutive days of sun and the temps have been above average. So… I have spent a lot of time outside these past few days. The dog and I have been going for long walks around the neighborhood and have been looking at people’s canadian maple leaf flags, their lawns and their decorations to get some ideas for our yard. So.. if I’m not around much, now you know why. I’m out enjoying this truly wonderful weather.

Long process

Well I thought my dental process was almost over, but I’m afraid I have another couple of months to go. Apparently the surgery I had two weeks ago is not healing properly so I have to wait another six weeks weeks to see if I’ve healed and can begin the next step in this process. Since this has been ongoing since February, I do feel like this process is taking forever. So once again I’ll have to put off the jump hunt for at least another six weeks. Man… I can’t wait for this entire thing to be over.

Surgery went well

Well the dental surgery that I had to have last week went extremely well and now I’m back on the mend. I was terrified to have this procedure done but am seriously glad that I bit the bullet and had it done. I didn’t have half as much pain as I thought I would and because I was put to sleep I was able to sleep through the entire ordeal. And… my husband was home for the entire week and took excellent care of me. Honestly if I had of known that this surgery would go so well, I would have had this procedure done years ago. But now that I’m on the mend it’s time to get back to life. And one of the first things I need to do is to find myself a job. Life goes on.

Dental surgery fast approaching

Next week I have to go have some major dental surgery and let me tell you all I’m scared to death. I’m not the bravest person when it comes to dealing with dentists and having one perform surgery on me really is starting to freak me out. But it’s a procedure that I have to have done so I’ll have to find my bravery somehow. My husband will be home next week to help me out after the surgery so I guess that’s a good thing but I’m absolutely not looking forward to it. So if I’m not around much next week, now you all know why.

Lots of projects

Although it’s Easter break for the kids, they still have loads of homework to do. My son has a heritage project that has to be done by Tuesday and my daughter has the same assignment due on the same day as well as another music related assignment due next week. The heritage projects are going well, but her music project is another story. She has been checking out sites like english horn at wwbw to see if she can get any inspiration. She is musically inclined but doesn’t really know a whole lot about instruments. But, knowing my daughter she won’t rest until this assignment is completed and she receives an A.
