We’re buying a new couch

Well today my husband and I went couch shopping.  It has been quite a few years since we purchased a new couch and there was a major reason why we never purchased one for a very long time.  We had a cat and with his claws, he pretty much ruined everything he touched.  Well now that he is not here anymore we decided that we should probably make this investment.

So today we went to several different stores looking for the perfect couch.  We only found one problem and that was that we couldn’t agree on the one to buy.  He liked one couch, which is a sectional, and I liked another that was a couch and chair.  So we didn’t end up buying anything and decided to wait on it for a few days to see if we can come up with something that will please us both.  But hopefully by the end of the week we will be able to agree on something and I’ll be able to report that we actually bought a new couch.

Found you thru entrecard - and let me tell you, I do not envy you doing couch hunting. EVERY time my husband and I go furniture hunting, we never agree on anything. It took the better part of 3 months to agree on our daughter’s bedroom suite…and 2 months for our son’s funiture. And we did the couch thing. We are still, to this day, REGRETTING what we bought. We have a La-Z-boy couch and recliner. The recliner is great; it’s a rocker/recliner…though we sometimes scare ourselves when we try to put the foot up and don’t quite catch the lock. The couch is fine for sitting…and reclining…but don’t bother to lay down on it, it HURTS. (doesn’t help that the movers jacked it up almost 2 years ago). And the material…oy…it pills up…it has worn in spots so that there are THREADS on it, like a guitar. My son pulled on these…toes got caught. Suffice it to say that the fabric is no longer available, and now I know why!

Anyway - I’m approving your request for an ad on my entrecard!

    Linda’s last blog post..Holy Cow!
