And That’s….the Truth

you may not be aware of the fact that I have three kids.  I have the two younger ones that still live at home, but I also have an older son who has moved out on his own and lives quite far away.  The reason why I don't talk about him all that much is I really don't have that much contact with him so I'm not really involved with his day to day living.

Over the years he has been somewhat of a problem child.  He has gotten into a lot of trouble at school and has even had some run ins with the law.  He is very stubborn and honestly believes that everything he does is right.  Even with the trouble with the law that he has  he still believes that none of this is his fault.

This is why I was quite happy to receive my latest e-mail from him.  In the e-mail he has finally admitted to the mistakes that he has made and he has expressed a real desire to try to change.  In 18 years, he has never admitted to any fault for anything so this is really a major step for him.  I know that a person can't change overnight, but I'm starting to think that he is headed in the right direction.
