Jeweler’s Block

What is this, do you ask?  Well it goes along the same lines as “writer’s block”.  Right now I have a serious problem.  For the life of me, I can’t think of a single piece of jewelry to create.  I have tons and tons of supplies, so that is not the problem.  It’s just that I have made so many necklaces and bracelets, that I’m having a real difficult time trying to come up with a new theme for another one.  It’s a shame actually as the more pieces of jewelry I make, the bigger the profit is for me.  But even knowing that everyday that I don’t create I don’t make any money, isn’t helping me out here either.

So, what do you all do when you have a “block” of some kind??  Do you just walk away for a period of time (which I have done for the past two weeks) or do you digging around for some inspiration?  I would really love to hear your thoughts on my most serious problem.

You need to be inspired. Sadly, thats not something that happens overnight (as I’m sure you know). Go to the library, check out some books on different stuff (an ancient culture, butterflies, fashion from a different decade, kids books). Flip through, look at pictures, you might get inspired. Thats what I do (I’m a painter).

    Peace
