I’m getting so….old

Over the past couple of days I have discovered that I’m starting to get old. When I was trying to thread some beads while trying to create jewelry, I discovered that I couldn’t see the little holes any more. Even when I put on my glasses. I really think I’m going to need to invest in a magnifier. I didn’t notice this problem last week so I am kind of wondering why it came about all of a sudden. Oh well, I guess I’m going to just have to go see my eye doctor and see about getting a new prescription. Hopefully I will only need a new prescription, and this is not a sign of worse things to come.

My Mom likes to sew too. I do also. But, when my sister’s daughter, Roxanne, was just two my Mom had her threading needles for her. It was so cute and we were surprised how well and quick she was at threading them. Mom (Grandma) told her to be careful cause it was very difficult and dangerous. So for weeks after she would say to Grandma “difficult and dangerous” every time they were sewing. Maybe you had to be there but still makes me smile to remember.

lol, you sound like me last summer when I was at my daughters swim lessons. We were changing in the locker room and I was standing next to a big mirror. I turned and looked and “OH MY GOD WHERE DID THOSE WRINKLES COME FROM”. I’ve had gray hair coming in forever, but I’ve always looked 17. I pass the 30 mark and wham, there goes the skin…
