Skating rink

This morning when I drove the kids to the bus stop, I was quite dismayed to see all the ice that was around our area.  It rained a lot yesterday and last night.  So, it rained away all the snow and all that is left is a massive amount of ice.  The kids thought this was just great!  Although I kept telling them to be careful, kids will be kids.  The had a blast waiting for the bus.  They never stopped skating around on their boots and I was actually quite surprised that my son didn’t ask me to go home and get his skates and helmet.  I’m quite sure he may bring this up after school.  But the ice isn’t smooth and it wouldn’t be a very good idea.

But, as long as they are careful I guess I’ll let them have their fun.  The only thing is that now I won’t get out of my car as I am terrified of falling on my back side.  Oh to be a kid again. lol

    We had a lot of heavy rain yesterday and into the night…NO snow left and today is warm and looks like spring :0) won’t last…as you know we bought an older home and the basement leaks put we have a pump that takes the water out so it hasn’t been a problem….until the power went out early this morning and the basement flooded. Over an inch of water everywhere…what a mess. Everything is working now and things are drying out :0)
