He doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into!!

My father-in-law popped in today for a visit with the kids.  While he was here, he offered his babysitting services to us for any time that my husband and I would like to go out without the children.  I thought he knew his grandchildren better than that. lol

But since he made the offer, my husband and I will take him up on it at least once.  That may be all he is willing to do.  The kids aren’t that bad, but they do love to fight and I don’t think that he realizes just how much they do fight!  But hopefully they will be good for him and we may have a sitter once again to have a little alone time for just him and me.  I guess we will just have to see how the first evening out goes.

Another new project

I know that I really should finish crafting projects that I have started before I begin new ones, but I really can’t help myself.  Right now I have some pieces of homemade jewelry that I really need to finish, my daughter’s knitted afghan, a pink and purple quilt,  and three different scrapbooks.  But, I start to get bored with what I’m doing so I start something new.

Last night I set up my printer so I went browsing the Internet for some free plastic canvas patterns that I could download and print.  Well I found two different bathroom sets that I’m going to make to put up for sale on my crafting site.  Now that I have the printed patterns, I want to start making them.  I know I should wait until I have  some of my other projects finished before I start on it.  But if I know me, within the next couple of days I will be hauling out all my plastic canvas supplies. lol

The boys are bonding

With a young son who is heavily into cars and racing and things, and a husband who is the same type of car addict, I was so happy to have found this site where they could both go to look up RC Cars Tips and Tricks. RC cars is a huge deal in our house and by finding this site, I have found a place where my husband and my son can look at all the latest features, tips, tricks and hints concerning anything to do with their love of this sport. This is a new blog from RC cars champion Igor Presnukhin. So if you have a couple of car buffs in your home, why not direct them to this site to what what the latest and greatest in the RC car industry.

They are going in competition

As many of you know, my 9 year old daughter has been taking violin lessons through her school.  She was off to a rough start at first as she got quite sick before Christmas and lost a lot of violin practice time.  But, she is one determined kid and has worked very hard a getting caught up with her classmates.  Yesterday I received a message from her violin teacher that her class has been entered into a violin competition.

My daughter is so excited about this.  She now has the confidence built up and I know that she will do her very best.  So at the beginning of April she will be headed off to her very first competition.  I know all the children will do an awesome job and I am just so proud of her.  I can’t wait until April so I can see her perform.

Oh my, What a mess!

I knew it was coming, but I didn’t really realize what kind of mess I would be facing when this work started to happen.  Yes, I am talking about my home office.  Finally after months of bothering my husband, we are putting down the hardwood floors in my home office.  For the past couple of months I have been able to work in there, but I have to tell you that the room looks really bad with just boards sitting on the floor.  Well all that is going to change today.  I’m going to have pretty hardwood floors in my room now.  Maybe now I will feel comfortable leaving the door open and will want visitors to see my home work space.

So because this event is FINALLY going to take place, I will not complain about the mess that I have to clean up and I will be cleaning up this mess with a smile plastered on my face.

I think he’s finally growing up

Many of you may not be aware of the fact that I have three kids.  I have the two younger ones that still live at home, but I also have an older son who has moved out on his own and lives quite far away.  The reason why I don’t talk about him all that much is I really don’t have that much contact with him so I’m not really involved with his day to day living.

Over the years he has been somewhat of a problem child.  He has gotten into a lot of trouble at school and has even had some run ins with the law.  He is very stubborn and honestly believes that everything he does is right.  Even with the trouble with the law that he has  he still believes that none of this is his fault.

This is why I was quite happy to receive my latest e-mail from him.  In the e-mail he has finally admitted to the mistakes that he has made and he has expressed a real desire to try to change.  In 18 years, he has never admitted to any fault for anything so this is really a major step for him.  I know that a person can’t change overnight, but I’m starting to think that he is headed in the right direction.

I’m still learning

Although I’ve been quite active on the Internet for the past couple of years, I am still learning all the ins and outs of the Internet and computer world. This is why it would be quite helpful for me to utilize the services of an IT consulting company. By employing these services, I could get all the help and direction I need right from my home. This company would come directly to my home and help me with any problems that I may be experiencing right in front of my eyes. This way if some of the same similar problems arise, I would have already watched them to see how I could fix it. Although I am only one person working from home, I can see how a company like this would be a major asset to any business as well.
