Report cards come home today
It’s bound to be an exciting day at my house after the big yellow school bus pulls up this afternoon. The kids will be bringing home their report cards. Now I pretty much know what to expect, but you can never be real sure until you actually see the grades on the report card.
I’m figuring that my daughter (who is in grade 4) probably did pretty good on her’s. She takes school very seriously and even takes homework extremely seriously as well. She loves to do well in school and she works very hard at her grades. I have signed quite a few tests for her over the past couple of months and they all have been really good. Now my youngest son on the other hand (who is in grade 2) could be a different story. Right now he is at the stage in his life where he’s not real crazy about school and it’s a fight every night to do the homework. Most of his work should be OK, but he’s spelling probably won’t be. He won’t do bad enough to fail, but I know there will be a few comments concerning his tests.
But, all in all I think the kids did pretty good as I haven’t had any phone calls in the past couple of months. And, if they did in fact do good we are going to take them out to supper tonight as a reward. I’ll be sure to pop back in tomorrow to let you all know how well the kids did.
