We need to upgrade
Last night my youngest son was playing on the computer and you could tell that he was getting pretty frustrated. He was trying to download a game off the Internet, but because the computer memory on this computer is so bad, he wasn’t able to download the game he wanted to play. Kid’s games don’t normally take a lot of memory, so the memory on this computer must be really bad. So I’m thinking that we really need to upgrade the memory. I don’t think it will require a lot of upgrades, but after seeing his frustration last night, I know we need to do something.

We need to upgrade too…or do some massive cleaning. I think we’ve got lots of stuff that we’ve downloaded that we just need to get rid of. I just hate going through it all…bleh!

If upgrading is going to cost you a bit, there are other things you can look at before you do shell out. like what other programs were running while your son was trying to download the game.
Also what demands will the game make on the computer, like is it a graphics-intensive game? That means a video card upgrade.
Also you did say your son was not able to download the game, did you mean he was not able to complete the download? Or that he had run out of space on the computer to store the game? Or did your internet connection time out in the middle of the download?
Some upgrades do cost a pretty penny, so it’s better to look at all the possibilities before you spend.
