A little sad tonight
Tomorrow my oldest son will turn 19. His turning 19 doesn’t make me sad. But him being so far away from home on his birthday does. Last May he moved out on he this own quite far away and we haven’t actually seen him since last July. This will be the first birthday that we haven’t celebrated as a family and I guess that’s why I’m a little sad tonight. Just thinking that he won’t be around around and the two younger kids won’t get to see him on his birthday will take a little getting used to. But I’m sure he will have a wonderful day and I’m sure I will hear all about it in his next e-mail.

Hi: I was dropping my EC on you today and noticed this post. From one mama with a child far away from home to another I wanted to give you a cyber {hug}. I know it’s hard. My oldest lives about 8 hours away and it hurts sometimes! Birthdays are especially difficult. Anyway, wanted you to know that I understand…for whatever it’s worth. Happy Birthday Mama!
