A day of reflection

Today is Mother’s day.  And although I am happy that it’s mother’s day and I am having a really great day, I am also a little sad as well.  This is the fourth mother’s day that I have spent without my mother and this is the first mother’s day that we have spent without my husband’s mother.  So although I am happy that I can have my own kids around me on this special day, I am sad because I am missing two very important women in my life.  All the other holidays are hard as well, but mother’s day seems to be a little different.  Without having them with us on this day it tends to make me miss them just a little bit more.

But, enough with the sadness.  I would like to  wish you all a very happy mother’s day and hope you will treasure this and every day that you have with your moms.

    (((Hugs))) I lost my Mum….now wait :( no I didn’t :( I hate that expression…. my Mum died 8 years ago…Its so hard even now….Happy Belated Mothers Day to you…I still had a lovely day with my beautiful children even though the day was tinged with some sadness….
