Lots of activities coming up

With the end of the school year just around the corner, the kids have a lot of fun activities coming up.  In June they will be going on various field trips, planting their marigolds at the town hall, last strings performance, a sports day at school and the annual family fun day at their school.  These next three weeks are going to fly by and it won’t be anytime at all before they will be home with me for the entire summer.  I swear the school year gets shorter every year.  It seems just like yesterday that the kids were just starting the new school season.  Now it’s the end of the school year and the kids will be having a blast.

    School holidays come and go so fast. Sometimes I wish it arrive faster and when its finally here, like now, I wish they are back in school so that I could rest my tired body for a few more hours.

    As chaotic and demanding as the end of the school year tends to be, I never lose sight of the small feeling of accomplishment I get when I consider that, for another year, I haven’t forgotten to pick my kids up after school or left them at a grocery store or anything like that.

    Yup, I set my bar pretty low…
