And That’s….the Truth

I really have to wonder how a person can make up their minds when deciding which weight loss pills to take when trying to lose those added pounds. Last night I was watching a little TV with my husband and in the span of two hours I seen four different commercials for four different types of weight loss pills. I really have to wonder how those looking for these products can decide which one is right for them. I’m quite happy that I don’t need them, and never have as this is one decision these days which I wouldn’t like to be making.

Yesterday both the kids were home from school as they had a snow day. Now you would think that this wouldn’t be a great big deal as they are only two little kids, but…all they do is fight! And, yesterday was no different. Honestly I think they had their first fight before 8:00 am and I’m pretty sure that they never let up all day. At one point the fighting was so bad that I had to send them both to their separate rooms for awhile for a little time out. It was either that or I was going to start looking into some Outer Banks rentals for a little get a way of my own. But today they are back in school so my house if fight free once again.

Because we live in Eastern Canada, we get some pretty cold temperatures. So every morning on my husband’s way to work he always starts my car up so it’s warm when I have to take the kids down to the bus stop. Well today was no different. He went outside to start my car and tried to move it. Well, it was stuck. Apparently it was sitting in a couple of frozen ruts. It didn’t matter what he did, he could not get it to move. So he backed his truck in and hooked on to my car and pulled it out of the driveway. Well my little guy got such a big kick out of it.

It’s pretty bad when I have to get towed out of my own driveway! But thankfully he did this before he went to work. I could never have gotten it out myself.

I have to tell you all that for a person that has reached the age of 40, I have the worst memory in history. Here’s my story:

Yesterday while I was at work, the truck that brings our supplies once a week came in. So after we put all the stuff away, I decided that I would grab a couple of the shipping boxes to bring home to use for all my fabric that I have laying around. Well I set the two boxes aside (beside my coat so I knew that I would see them when I left) and continued on with my day. Well at the end of my shift I put on my coat and headed home. Well, just before I arrived home, I realized that I had walked right by these boxes and never picked them up. Well by then it was too late to go back and get them. That was too bad as they were really good sized and sturdy boxes. I don’t know, maybe I need to tie a string around my finger to remind me of things I need to get or do. Well, at least it wasn’t anything important or I could have been in a lot of trouble.

Many of you here may not be aware of this, but for all of my life I have been seriously underweight. I guess the only good thing about this, is that I have saved a pile of money in Fentraphen pills or any type of weight loss product for that matter. But the downsize to all this, is that it’s not very healthy. Over the years I have tried everything imaginable that would help me gain weight and up until now nothing seems to have worked. But I am really happy to report that I have finally gained the weight that I have wanted to and have been able to keep this weight on as well. Who would have thought that just by eating at least twice a day a person would gain weight?? LOL But I’m where I want to be now. And I do plan on staying there.

Well let me tell you all about my morning so far. I was awoken up before seven as my husband had to go to work early this morning. We got the kids ready for school and then I took them to the bus stop. Well after we got to the bus stop we were then informed that the bus was running an hour late. So that meant that we all got back in the car and headed back home for another hour. Well what this means at my house is that this gives the kids and extra hour to fight. Yup I’m not kidding. All they did for that extra hour of relaxation time was fight. I was pretty happy when it was time to head back down to the bus stop for a second time today.

This year our school district is trying something new. They have decided to change the French program in our schools. From now on the children will not take any French classes at all until grade 5. Then in grade 5 they will take a half of year of straight English classes and the other half will be of all French classes.

Well January 30 marks the end of my daughter’s English block and the start of her French block. I’m pretty sure she will do ok with this as she does get really good marks. But it will be different. And of course this means more work for me. Because she is taking different classes during her final half of grade 5, she is going to need new books and materials. So I will have to dig out my rubber stamp and label all her stuff again. Oh well, I guess this is a good thing. And I hope she gets a lot out of her French block.

Last night I came down with one of my regular headaches. Well by the end of the night it had blown into a full blown migraine. So I went looking for my pills and discovered that I didn’t have any. We didn’t even have any Advil in the house. The only type of pill that we did have was a weight loss pill and I didn’t figure that that was going to do me any good. So my husband did go out in the cold and down to the drug store. Now he couldn’t get any of my pills, I need to make an appointment for that. But the Advil did help a bit. At least today the headache is down to a dull roar. I really need to make that appointment.

So what do you find is the biggest time waster when sitting on the Internet. For me it definitely has to be the unbelievable amount of spam that I have to delete each and every day. If I only had a couple of blogs that I needed to delete from it wouldn’t be too bad, but I have many. So I spend quite a bit of my time deleting spam! On just one of my sites I had over 1200 spam comments on it this morning. Needless to say I haven’t even had the time to delete even half of them yet. Man, it’s going to be a long…..day.

Yes, I did survive!! Yay! My husband was home on holidays this week and boy did he drive me crazy. Honestly, I’m not kidding. He is worse than my youngest two put together. When he’s not working he gets bored and when he gets bored he tends to bother me.

Now normally I can put up with his nonsense, but this week he was so bored that he spent a lot of time on the computer and time spent on his computer meant that he had to show me every amazing thing or funny thing that he found on the Internet. And if he wasn’t hollering out for me to come see what he found, then he was sending me dozens and dozens of e-mails of funny, interesting and pretty things. Today he sent me an e-mail telling me all about pet supplements. Well…we don’t even have a pet. So I would be interested why?? Oh well the week is almost over and in three short days he will be headed back to the workforce. Yay for me!
