Little mix up

Yesterday as the kids and I pulled into our driveway after school, a hydro truck pulled in behind us. The lady behind the wheel asked if I lived here. When I stated yes, she then informed me that she was there to pull my meter. Realizing that when they pull a meter I have no hydro I was not real impressed. So I asked her to sit tight so I could call their toll free number to see what was going on. Well, turns out that it wasn’t my meter that she needed to pull at all. It’s a good thing I arrived when I did, or we could have been in serious trouble. It was minus 16 out with a windchill of minus 28 and with no hydro we would have been frozen. So after I got off the phone with them, I sent this lady on her way.

The drama queen has emerged

My ten year old daughter is quite funny. I don’t remember being such a provillus discount
drama queen when I was her age. Every day it’s something different with this kid. Yesterday she came home from school practically in tears. One of the little boys in her class called her fat and this upset her greatly. Now let me tell you, my daughter is far from fat. Actually she is quite tiny for her age. So I tried to talk to her and explain all about 10 year old little boys. I don’t think I got through to her as later in the evening she was asking me to purchase her some Jillian Michaels workouts. Yesterday it was her being fat, today I wonder what type of problem she will come home with.

Another excuse to make crafts

One of i use provillus
my kids favorite things to do is make crafts. Buy them construction paper, pens, markers, glue and crayons and they are set for life. Well over the weekend they both heard me on the phone with my neighbor and we were discussing her son’s upcoming 16th birthday. Well the two kids got so excited you would have sworn it was their own birthday. So over the weekend they got out their papers and supplies and made my neighbor’s boy a birthday card. Then today after school we delivered the card.

Any excuse to create crafts. Their father’s birthday is this Saturday so guess what their doing today??

Violin update

Over the weekend I got an e-mail from my daughter’s violin teacher. They now have all the dates set for all their upcoming performances. This means that I need to get my digital camera and our camcorder all primed and acai berries green tea and caralluma benefits
ready to go. The kids have been working very hard this year and you can really tell this in their playing. Every time I hear my daughter practice, I am always amazed at how good she is becoming. So I’m pretty sure that by the time these different dates for the performances arrive, my daughter, as well as the rest of the children, will be all ready to go. I’m quite confident that they will do an excellent job.

I hate shopping!

Today I took my bi-weekly trip to the grocery store. And let me tell you all, that this was not a very pleasant experience. I really don’t understand people sometimes. I normally shop at a grocery store that sells a lot of different products. Not only do they sell groceries, but they also sell clothing, electronics (such as LCD TVs) and cactus caralluma
other household items.

Well this morning they had a massive sale on (which I was unaware of or I would have put off my shopping trip) and I’m sure everybody in our town was there at the same time I was. There was so much pushing and shoving going on in that store that I didn’t end up getting even half of what I needed. I just made a few purchases and made my escape. So I’m going to go to a different store tomorrow and try to finish up the rest of my shopping. It may cost me a little extra, but I don’t care. The piece of mind will definitely be worth it.

Birthday blues

My husband is driving me crazy!! Every year at this time of the year he turns into a bear. And after 15 years, I have finally figured out why. It’s because his birthday is right around the corner. Now most normal people are pleased and excited when their birthdays roll around. But not my husband. Oh no! Not even the thoughts of some new sports gifts can lift his spirits. Honestly, I have gotten to the point that I dread his birthday coming up. But since it’s only a week away, I guess I’ll only have to put up with the bear for one more week.

Weekend is finally here

Well finally the end to a very long week is almost behind us. With all the crappy weather and the kids being home an extra day this week, I really thought this week was never going to end. But, it is now Friday and the weekend is in sight. So…I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you around the first of next week.

Not much crafting being done

I don’t know if you all remember, but last year I attempted to get a small home crafting business up and running. Well to say that this didn’t quite work out the way I wanted it to, would be a mild understatement. So I kind of got discouraged and haven’t really done very much with it at all. I did advertise a bit and even purchased some promotional pens to see if I couldn’t drum up some business. But I really wasn’t very successful in my efforts. Even though I don’t do a whole lot of crafts right now, I do plan on getting back into it at a later date. Maybe when my motivation returns, I may have better success at getting this business up and running.

Another machine in the driveway

My husband has got to be my biggest kid. Last night he was surfing on the computer and seen that a guy had posted an ad about having a snowmobile for sale. Well…he got right on the phone and called him. He wasn’t home so his wife said she would get him to call him back. Well he got the phone call, hopped right in the car and headed down to look at the machine. It was no great surprise when he came back with a snowmobile. I don’t know who was more excited about this purchase. My husband or my son?! But the two of them plan on heading out on it as soon as my husband gets home from work tonight.
