And That’s….the Truth

I honestly can’t believe another year has come and gone. Honestly where has the time gone?? I have a few things that need to be taken care of before the end of the year and then all I’ll have to worry about it ringing in the new year. I need to send 12 post dated checks to my park owners so I can live here for another year, I need to find a cheap home insurance quote, and I really need to take down all the decorations and get my living room back in order. It really does amaze me how time flies.

Well now that Christmas is almost over, the real fun will begin. That means I need to take down the tree, put all the gifts away and get my living room back in order. I want to do this like I want to look up cheap auto insurance on the Internet. Not!! But, since no one else in my home is going to do it, I really need to get started. I always like to have everything done by New Year’s Eve. So I really need to get a move on it. I really wish I had a cleaning fairy at my disposal. Then this job would go a lot more quickly.

I have been really busy getting things done. I can’t believe that I’m almost done getting ready for Christmas and it’s not even December 24th yet! Over the weekend I went on a mini shopping spree, then went online and clicked on go here to check it out and found some really good deals there as well. Now all I have to do is wrap up all my purchases and I am officially ready for Christmas. My husband on the other hand will probably still be shopping on December 24th, but for me, it’s done! How about you guys? Are you close to being ready for the big day?

I really do love Christmas except for one thing. Spending all this extra money! Over the past couple of weeks, I’m really not sure how much I’ve spent and I don’t think I want to know. But the spending doesn’t seem to be done quite yet. I have a few more things to purchase and then hopefully I’ll stop spending money and be able to start saving once again. Yes, I know Christmas only comes once a year (thank god), but with times as difficult as they are now, I get a little stressed when I see all this money going out. Hopefully it will all end soon.

My daughter so…. does not impress me. Last night she informed me that she has a project due on Monday and we have none of the stuff here to do this stupid project. So later on this afternoon I have to head out to the store (which I don’t really want to do this time of year) with two kids to buy the supplies that she needs to get this project done by tomorrow. She’s a smart kid, but sometimes can be a little absentminded. Hopefully the next time a project is due, she will let me know well in advance. Wish me luck at the stores today!

I went out earlier this morning with one of my friends Christmas shopping. I am happy to report that I’m just about done!! One more present for my husband and I will be finished. I need to head into town to purchase him a gift card so he can buy the Custom flash drive that he wants and then I’m done. I still have a lot of wrapping, cleaning and cooking to do, but at least the shopping itself is done. I am so far ahead of schedule now that I’m actually starting to get excited about Christmas. Now all I have to do is finish the other stuff and then I can just sit back and relax.

When my husband gets off work tonight we will be headed out to the stores to finish the rest of our Christmas shopping. Both the kids have given us a list of stuff they want. But after looking at all the high priced items such as an xbox 360 and laptops, I think we will conveniently leave these lists at home. I really hope the kids don’t think they are going to get everything on their lists or they are going to be sorely disappointed. But tonight is the night to finish it off. Then all I will have to do is spend a couple of days wrapping.
