And That’s….the Truth

What a messed up week. First the kids had a snow day on Monday so they were both home. Then the rest of the week my youngest was home sick from school. So I’ve felt like I haven’t had any time to myself this week at all. And to top it all off, today is yet another snow day. And tomorrow is the weekend, so no alone time for me in the near future. I think when my husband asks me what I want for valentines day, instead of telling him to check out gifts for her, I’m going to ask him to get me a night away. After the week I’ve had, I think that would make for a very nice gift.

For the past six years now I have been dealing with the same insurance company. I stayed with them so long partially due to laziness and partially due to the fact that I was unaware that could shop around and get a better life insurance rate. Well that all changed this weekend. I had a little extra time this weekend so i did some digging. Well, I found a different insurance company that will offer me the same amount of coverage as what I’m getting now, but at a lower rate. So I guess after six years I am now going to switch insurance companies. I guess it really does pay to shop around.

For years I have been interested in the criminal justice system. But I never did follow through on any of these interests. Well lately I have been considering taking an online criminal justice course. I have been a little hesitant to pursue this as I never have really discovered a site that I was comfortable spending my money at. But that has all changed. I found a site over at nwbcollegeonline that looks very promising.

They offer criminal justice degrees as an online course which is right up my alley. They are highly accredited and once I have this degree I will have all the knowledge and skills to help me obtain employment in the criminal justice field. Their staff is highly knowledgeable and are more than willing to help a student get set up and started. Their tuition and book prices are extremely competitive in the education field. So now that I’ve found this site, I really do think that it’s time for me to fulfill this dream of mine.

I am feeling 100% better today than I was yesterday! Yesterday I felt so bad that I actually went to bed at 7:00 pm. That’s right, I was in bed last night before the children. But after a good night’s sleep, I am finally feeling like myself. Who knows with all this extra energy I have today I may actually get some work done. I need to write five articles on new weight loss products and also need to dye my hair today as well. As long as I keep feeling the way I am right now, I’m confident that I will get it all done. Thankfully my illness was only a one day thing.

I was really surprised this morning that the kids had to go to school. It had been snowing quite hard all night, and when they got up this morning, it was still snowing. And…. it’s supposed to snow all day. In total we are expecting to get 15 cm of the white stuff. This is why I was so surprised that the district didn’t call a snow day. But I do plan on keeping the radio on all day just in case they decide to close the schools early. It wouldn’t surprise me if they did.

I think I may be coming down with the dreaded flue. Man I feel like crap today. I have a serious headache and my stomach feels a bit queasy. This is a sure sign that the flue is headed my way. So instead of posting about anti aging products today, I think I’m just going to take a me day and go lay down for a while. I don’t have anything pressing to do today so I think I’m going to just take it easy.

I just heard on the radio that we are in for one heck of a storm tonight or tomorrow morning. So that changes my plans a little bit. I was going to put off getting groceries until Wednesday, but now I think I may have to head out a little later this morning. We are not in dire need of anything, but if I can’t get out for a while, we will start running out of things. So…. I guess I’ll have to go pick up some milk, bread and maybe even stock up on my treatment for acne. Man, I hate winter and I will be so glad when it is firmly behind us.

So… how was every one’s weekend? Mine was pretty quiet which is fine with me. I did have to work Saturday and Sunday, but only until 2:00 pm. I spent the rest of the weekend just chilling. I didn’t even hardly go on the Internet or check my e-mails all weekend. So you can just imagine what I was faced with this morning. Yup, tons and tons of e-mails. Most of them were just spam e-mails like solicitations for diet supplements but I still had to go through them all in case there was anything important in them. Well, the weekend is gone, so here we go again. I think I may do the same thing next weekend and just chill. I’ll deal with the tons of e-mails Monday morning.

I think I spoke too soon when I said that the kids did very well over the Christmas break with not fighting quite so much. Well they have more than made up for it these last couple of weeks. These last couple of weeks they have fought constantly and I’m pretty much sick of it! I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with these two. Everything I have tried has not worked and I’m slowly getting to the end of my rope. All this fighting needs to stop soon, or somebody is really going to get hurt.
