Income tax time

Last night I started to make out my income tax papers from last year. And let me tell you, what I seen scared me. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to have to pay in this year and to say I’m not impressed is a serious understatement. This year I definitely have to do something different so I don’t end up in the same boat next year. I think I’m going to look into getting some home budget software to see if I can’t cut some costs therefore freeing up more of my money. I’m also going to ask my employer to start taking out more tax out of each check. With these two measures, I’m hoping I won’t have to pay in next year as well.

Weight gain

For the past several months now I have been trying to get my weight back up to a healthy weight again. Normally I run about 92 lbs, but have gotten as low as 88 lbs and that is just not healthy. So I’ve been attempting to get this number back up. Well, I am happy to report that I am now 95 lbs and still gaining!! I am so proud of myself. Instead of buying an appetite suppressant, I invested in some vitamins. The vitamins along with eating more seems to be doing the trick. So I will continue to do what I’ve been doing and hopefully soon I will be able to report that I’ve reached my ideal weight.

I hate winter!

Have I mentioned lately how badly I HATE winter?? Well if not, here we go. I HATE WINTER!! For the past three days we have had some seriously cold weather and it’s really starting to get old now. This morning it is currently minus 13 with a windchill of minus 22. That’s cold!! It’s so cold outside that I absolutely dread having to go back out there again. I wish I could just stay in my nice warm house for the rest of the day. But I can’t. I have to make one more bus run. But after that, you can just bet that I won’t be stepping outside again today.

Quiet weekend

How was your weekend?? Mine was pretty quiet and uneventful. But, I’m not complaining. Saturday and Sunday I had to work so by the time I got home I was pretty wiped and really didn’t want to do anything anyway. But after a good night’s sleep last night, I am raring to go. So I will be doing a lot of computer work today and trying to get one more room in my house clean. Other than that, I have no real plans today. I need to send a reply back to my nephew concerning his graduation announcements, but other than that nothing real pressing. Hopefully the rest of the week will go like the weekend did. Stress free.

Vacations over

Yay! The vacations are over. My husband is back to work and the two younger kids are back in school. This means a little piece and quite time for me. It is so quiet in here that I can actually get some things done. Yesterday I had a very productive day. I was able to get most of my Internet stuff done and was also able to clean up most of the house, which included dusting the blinds and cleaning out my home office. I am seriously amazed at how much more I can get done when I don’t have the family underfoot. So, for a little while at least I have lots of time to myself and should be able to get quite a bit done.

Life getting back to normal

Now with the holidays dead and gone, we have started to get back into our normal daily routines. This morning my husband went back to work and on Wednesday both kids will be back in school. So this means that I need to get back to my routines as well. When the kids are back in school and not under foot any longer I plan on getting this house back in order. The first thing I plan on doing is going through the bathroom closets and shelves and start throwing out everything I haven’t used in the past year. Yes, this includes any hair vitamins or other vitamins that have passed their expiry date. Normally this amount of housework doesn’t please me, but this time it does. Only for the fact that it means that if I’m doing all this extra housework, that means that the kids are back in school. Yay!!
