Quiet weekend hopefully

Today is Friday so of course it got me to thinking about weekend plans. Since my young fellow and my husband are both sick, I expect that this will be a very quite weekend. We don’t have any real plans and I think we should probably just spend a quite weekend inside the house so these two can get better. I do have to do some research on whole life insurance quotes but other than that I’m really hoping we can just sit back and relax. I think we all need it.

Special day coming up

In less than two weeks it will be my 42nd birthday. But what makes this day extra special this year is the fact that my birthday and mother’s day just happen to fall on the same day. Instead of buying me two presents I have been trying to talk my husband into buying me on big present for both occasions. I have put a bug in his ear about diamonds of some sort. Hopefully he takes the hint. If not that’s okay too as he normally does do a really good job on presents.

Split shift today

I really do hate the split shifts at work. I almost despise them as much as I hate writing articles on topics that I’m not really familiar with. Yesterday I was given an assignment to write about noxycut and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t my best work as I really had no clue what I was talking about. But like this article, my split shifts will come to an end real soon as well. I’m really hoping that today is the last day that I have to do one of these. Really, if this keeps up much longer I really might go insane.

Getting in a funk again

I honestly don’t know if my mood changes these days are related to the fact that I’m getting older. Lately I have found myself more and more in a funk every day. I have tried to take an all natural vitamin to improve my health, and although I do feel a bit healthier, my state of mind just seems to be suffering. Right now I’m going through the “I don’t want to go to work anymore” syndrome. I really don’t want to go to work anymore. I’m not sure what’s going on these days with me, but I really do wish I would come out of it.

Stupid snow!

I think we are getting winter now instead of spring. This past winter really wasn’t too bad weather wise (so I really had nothing to complain about) but man this spring we are getting winter weather. Right now as I type this I am looking out my window and watching the white stuff fall to the ground. And it’s cold!! I really wish the weatherman would make up his mind. When it’s winter, have winter weather. And when it’s supposed to be spring, give us spring weather.

Changing my schedule

Every morning when I wake up I lay in bed and go through in my head what I need to do for the day. Well this morning as I was laying in bed, and thinking about purchasing some prada shoes, I was trying to remember that there was something special that I needed to do. I almost forgot! I need to go to work today for 12:00 instead of 5:00. That would have been a major mistake on my part if I hadn’t remembered. But, I did so at 11:30 I will be leaving my house to go to work. Man I hate when things change.

Not wanting to work

I really have to wonder if this situation occurs commonly or if this is a unique situation to my place of employment. Why is it that when people apply for a job, they are willing and eager to work as much as possible. But when they do obtain the job and start working then they decide they don’t want to work after all??? This happens all the time and I’m starting to get really sick of it! We have so much staff at my work, but most of them don’t want to work so we are constantly working short. So… this situation is really starting to get on my nerves. There’s really nothing I can do about it (I’m not management), but if there were…. the entire place would be restaffed. If it were up to me that is.

Awkward work situation

My husband has been employed at the same job for almost 12 years but lately things haven’t been going to well. For the past three months he has been trying to get a long with his new manager and this really doesn’t seem to be working out very well. He rants and raves about this man and has even asked questions as to how the employment screening in his company works that would make them hire someone who has no clue as to what their doing.

Well things came to a head last week and today is going to be a very awkward day. The other guys as his work got together and complained to HR about this man. So there will be an investigation today and one person they want to talk to is my husband. I really don’t know what will come out of this. But if it stops his ranting and raving for a bit then I’m all for it.

Finally cleaning their rooms!

After about a month of riding my daughter about her room, today she decided to clean it up without being asked. I think I really need to dig out the camcorder just to show my husband this little miracle that took place while he was at work. He’d never believe me otherwise. My daughter’s room is so much worse than my son’s room. But because she was cleaning her room, he decided he needed to clean his as well. I really don’t know what got into here, but I really hope it lasts.
