And That’s….the Truth

Yes I know the title of this post sounds silly but I am really happy that it’s raining outside today. Now I have no excuse but to get things done in the house. For the past few days it’s been beautiful out and I really haven’t done much inside. So my house looks like a tornado hit it and since it’s raining out, I really have no excuse but to clean it up. I do have to go out later on today, I’ll find my rain boots somewhere. But other than that I will have all the time in the world to get my housework done. So that’s why I’m pleased that it’s raining out today.

This past week has been so busy and hectic that most of the time I’ve been wondering if I’m coming or going. This was the kids final week of school so I was busy running around all week trying to get a lot of things done. I got most of the stuff done that I wanted to but still have quite a bit of work ahead of me yet. Not much of my housework got done so I will have to finish that over the weekend. I’m really not looking forward to cleaning out the electric fireplace over the weekend, but it needs to get done.

For the past few weeks now I have been having some serious computer problems. I would be typing away and then my machine would just shut down on me. Well everything came to a head this weekend. On Saturday I was working on an article on allergy bedding and my machine shut itself off three times in 45 minutes. Well, you can just imagine my frustration. So yesterday my husband went out and purchased me a new fan for my laptop. And knock on wood, this computer today is behaving. Hopefully this will solve the problem and my computer won’t shut down on me again while I’m trying to work.

My daughter is just finishing up grade 6. We were just informed that she made the honor roll this year! I am so proud of her. I can’t even tell you how much. She worked really hard this year and tried to make the honor roll. Well she succeeded. Thursday night is her awards ceremony and you can just bet I’ll be there with my camera and binoculars. I can’t wait to see her accept her award. Hopefully this trend continues on throughout middle school and high school.

There is nothing I hate worse in life than playing the waiting game. And for the past six weeks, that’s what I’ve been doing. Six weeks ago I had a test performed at the doctors and still haven’t received word yet and how it went. It’s driving me crazy. The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with diet pills for weight loss problems. But other than that, all I can do is wait. Man… I hope the tests come back soon or I’m really going to go a little crazy.

Well this morning my husband went back to work after being home for a week on vacation. To tell you all that this was a long week is a serious understatement. But… he went back to work this morning so I plan on getting back on track once again. I have so much work I need to get done. I have a lot of computer work that needs to be done, I need to try to clean my modern sofas in my living room and I really need to clean out my home office. All of this should be easily accomplished without having anybody underfoot today. Thank god he’s back to his normal routine. This way I can get back to my own routine as well.

Well it really was good to get away from my computer for awhile. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time on the computer this weekend and was able to recharge my batteries. But now it’s once again back to the computer. Over the past few days I have logged on quite a bit of time. And am starting to need a serious break once again. Oh well, I guess if I wasn’t on the computer, I wouldn’t be making any money. So I guess I won’t complain too much.

I normally have weekends off at my outside job, normally work on my computer the entire weekend so I really don’t get a true weekend off. Well I have made a decision. I am taking the weekend off! I am taking the entire weekend off from working on my computer. I’m normally on here seven days a week and am starting to get burnt out. So if you don’t see me around till Monday morning, don’t be alarmed. It’s just my weekend off.
