Still sick

My husband has been home sick with the flue for about a week now. He tried to go into work this morning but was sent home as he was throwing up. Man I wish he’d get over this. I realize he is sick and yes I do feel bad for him. But having him home for an entire week has really screwed up my schedule as well. I really haven’t been able to get a lot of online work done and actually have some articles on bath salt abuse addiction rehab treatment that have to be completed today.

On a side note, he is going to the clinic later today so at least we’ll be able to find out exactly what is wrong with him and get him better. Hopefully after tonight he’ll get some medication, start feeling better, and be able to go back to work. Then… maybe I’ll get some work done around here.

Starting to clear out the house

I have decided that I’m sick and tired of all this clutter and thought it was about time that I did something about it. So yesterday I started clearing out the house. I have started in my craft room and if it’s not craft supplies and not anything I’ve used in the past year, it got chucked. Now due to all my hard work you can actually see my craft room! So now that I’ve got into the cleaning fever I have decided that the bathroom will be next. Again if the products haven’t been used in over a year, they will be going. Hopefully if I can do one room a day I’ll have all this clutter gone and won’t mind living here so much. If not, at least I’ll have a clean and clutter free house.

I need a bigger house

As I sit here looking around my house I have discovered that I really do need a bigger one. Right now sitting in my living room is a kids drum set, a bb gun and other kid’s toys. These things should not be in my living room, but in a family room or play room. But right now since we are pretty much filled to the rafters, these things have to stay where they are at. My youngest son would love to learn how to play his drums or his guitar, but because of lack of space, he really doesn’t get to play with these things too often. One of these days we will either get a bigger house or less stuff. But at this point I guess I’ll just have to sit back and put up with the clutter.

Lots of school projects

Well you sure can tell that school is back in now after the Christmas break. Both of the children have come home this week announcing that they have multiple projects due in the next few weeks. My son who is in grade 6 has two massive projects due and my daughter who is in grade 8 has three. My daughter’s projects aren’t too bad (for me) as she does all of the work by herself but my son requires a lot of help from me so in fact I have two projects due soon as well. So instead of posting about breakdown services on my blogs I will be doing a science and social studies project this weekend. I thought I had already graduated and the homework had ended but… guess not.

Freaky weather

I’ve got to tell you all that I’m really not enjoying our Canadian winter weather this year. The weather has been pretty freaky lately. For instance… yesterday the temps were in the minuses so we were bundled up quite heavily. Now today we are in the pluses and I’m thinking about looking for a austin tx allergy doctor to get a head start on the allergy season. Freaky eh..? Although I am loving the milder temps, this kind of weather really is playing havoc with my health. I constantly have a cold and honestly don’t know whether to put away my winter coat or haul out my snow suit. Oh well spring will be here before we know it and we can put this crazy winter behind us.

Struggles at work

For the past couple of months I have HATED going into work. And honestly hated is a serious understatement. There has been a lot of drama at work surrounding a particular employee and I had had it. Matter of fact, I had done up my resume and had actually applied for a couple of jobs. But everything came to a head yesterday. I ended up calling my manager over something and we really got into it. I was able to let her know exactly what was on my mind lately and she actually listened. I *think* things might get better there. So I’m going to sit back and see where this thing takes me. If things improve, I’ll stop looking for a new job. If not, well I’ll continue to look for a way to get out of there. I’ll keep you posted.

Survived winter vacation

Well another Christmas season has come and gone and once again I survived it! I have had the had both kids home for over two weeks now but the end is in sight. Tomorrow morning both children will be back on that school bus and I for one could not be happier. They really haven’t been that bad this past holiday season but are now starting to get bored so they have started doing a little fighting. But if I can make it through today (and I think I can) then I will once again have the day time to myself and a quite house once again as well.
