And That’s….the Truth

Last night my husband asked me what I really wanted for Christmas. And you know what?? For the life of me I really couldn’t think of anything. Yes, I have been checking online for new engagement rings but he informed me that he isn’t purchasing me more jewelry. So except for jewelry, there really isn’t anything that I want that I don’t already have. So I think for once my Christmas presents from him this year will really be a surprise to me. After all if I haven’t asked for anything, I couldn’t possibly guess what he will pick up.

So as you all know there is only four more days left until Christmas. And… I am happy to report that I am almost ready for the holiday season. I have a few more things to wrap, I need to find my bicone beads and finish a necklace and bracelet set for my father in law’s wife and need to deliver these presents to them as well. Other than that, I think I’m ready for the season. I do realize that I’ve probably forgotten something so will probably be wrapping or shopping on Christmas Eve, but for now I’m just living in my own little dream world that for once I’ll be finished with all this Christmas preparation before December 24th.

Every year I wonder why we as “people” go crazy this time of year! We spend about two months cleaning, cooking and shopping and this is done all for one day! And… every year the Christmas hussle and bussle seems to be getting earlier and earlier. So normally around this time of year I start to get a little tired of Christmas. Oh I know it’ going to come and I’ll be ready for it. But honestly after all this stress and work I really have to start wondering if it’s all worth it. Oh well, Christmas is supposed to be for the kids and since I still have two little people at home I’ll have to suck it up and get through it. But I do think that things are going to change around here when the kids are grown and out of the house.

Wow I can hardly believe how time flies! There’s only two weeks until Christmas and I’m still not ready! I have been busy these last few weeks trying to get ready for the holiday season but time seems to be slipping away from me. I still need to wrap a few items, find the abrasives my husband has been looking for, take my car in for inspection, get four new tires put on my husband’s vehicle and finish up his Christmas shopping. Oh… I know I still have a couple of weeks to get all this done. But honestly when I look at my list of things to do I really do have to wonder how I’m going to get it all done.

I swear to you all that I did successfully complete grade 6 but these days I really have to wonder how I did it. Late last week my youngest son brought home a social studies project and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to complete it. I swear it would be easier for him and me both just to take a course on Medical Liability Insurance instead of doing grade 6 homework. And now this project is due tomorrow and we still have no clue how to complete it. But it has to be done so I guess tonight when he comes home from school we will just have to sit here and try to figure it out until we get it done. I don’t remember grade 6 homework being this difficult way back when.

Man…. it’s days like today that I really wish I had some type of Physicians & Surgeons Jobs or a really good job where I make tons of money. My car broke down yesterday and I either have to fix it or replace it. Well I don’t have the money for that right now! With the Christmas shopping season firmly in place, most of my extra money has gone towards Christmas presents for the family. I had no idea that my car would break down and I would need the extra cash to get it fixed. Oh well, it is what it is and there’s really not a whole lot I can do about it. I have sent it to a mechanic to see how much it will cost to fix it and then I guess I’ll make my decision from there. I need a vehicle so I guess one way or another I’m going to have to find some money somewhere.

Honestly some days I really do amaze myself. This year I am really getting things done early for Christmas and I am extremely pleased with myself. We have finished most of the shopping. Just need to pick up a few odds and ends. I finished wrapping everything in the house yesterday and today I decorated my house. So… I guess I’m just about ready for the big guy to come on Christmas eve. Now that I have all that done I guess I can once again do the work on my computer that I have been putting off. I have a few articles on pool fence los angeles that are due tomorrow so instead of concentrating on Christmas I guess I’ll have to concentrate on working.

I’ve got to tell you all that as I sit here looking out my kitchen window it’s not a pretty site out there. Right now we are getting hit with our first snowstorm of the season and it’s not a nice sight. Yes, living in Canada we knew it was coming, but I’m not a big fan of the snow. So I guess today is a perfect day to stay inside and get some extra work done. Both of the kids are home from school as they did cancel school first thing this morning. But so far they’ve been pretty good so I’m thinking I’ll be able to get a quite a bit of work done. As long as I don’t have to go out in this type of weather I really don’t mind it. I just hope it stops long enough for my husband to get home and off the roads.

Well since one of my favorite games on facebook is down I guess I should really get some work done. I have to do some research on where to find inexpensive maternity clothes and have a massive amount of housework that really should be done as well. And since I can’t play my game I guess this is the kick in the pants I needed to do other work. I’m really hoping it’s back up sometime this afternoon, but until then I guess I’ll get some work done. When my husband gets home maybe the house will be clean and supper will be ready. He’ll be surprised and will probably be able to figure out that my game was down so I decided to do something else for a change.

Well it’s finally happened. I made the decision to start cutting back on some of my blogs. I have been doing extra shifts at my outside job and have discovered lately that I just don’t have the time to keep up with all my blogs. I still want to continue to blog so I’ve decided to discontinue two of my blogs so I can concentrate more on the rest. This will still leave me four blogs but I think I can manage these four a whole lot better without the other two to worry about. And no, don’t worry this is not one of the blogs that I have decided to retire. So now that I’ve made my decision, hopefully you will see me in here posting a whole lot more than I have been during the past few months.
