And That’s….the Truth

Well another weekend has arrived and guess what?? Another weekend without camping! Yeah that’s right, I give up. Instead of investing in a camping trailer I think we should have spent our money elsewhere like on some backyard chicken coops. I think at this point it would have made more sense. We can’t go camping this weekend because we are supposed to get hit with part of the hurricane that is currently hitting the USA. But… what can you do, you can’t control the weather now can you. Oh well, only one more weekend that we COULD go so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next weekend.

Well the weekend is here once again, and guess what?? It’s supposed to rain all weekend so that means once again no camping. It’s really gotten to the point that I wish my husband would just sell the camper and maybe we could get some of our money back. It has been a huge waste of time and money for us to even own a trailer these past few years. Oh well, it is what it is and we can’t do nothing about the weather. Let’s just hope for a better weekend next weekend.

My husband is on call this weekend but by some miracle he hasn’t got called in yet. This doesn’t happen very often so he’s taking advantage of the situation. Right now he’s outside under the car lifts working on our jeep to try to get it to pass inspection next week. It’s nice that he has this time to himself. But working on a car I don’t think really counts as time off. Oh well these things need to be done and by him working on the jeep himself it will save us money later this week when the mechanic that inspects our vehicle tells us what things are wrong.

The next time I need to purchase a printer and think I want to purchase a wireless one, someone please shoot me! About a month ago my husband purchased a wireless printer and yesterday him and I decided we were going to set it up. Well after an hour of trying to set it up, I gave up and called Kodak support. Well…. after another hour on the phone with them, I was finally able to get this stupid thing set up. Had I known it was going to be such a pain to hook up a wireless printer, I would never have purchased one, and I think I will never purchase one in the future either.

I’m thinking of getting my phone number changed. Lately I have been getting a lot of calls from numbers that I don’t recognize. So I don’t answer the phone and usually let it go to my answering machine. But they never leave a message so I never know who is actually calling. This is really starting to get on my nerves.

But before I get a new phone number (I’ve had this one for 12 years) I have decided to try something different. I have been checking out a site where I can do a reverse phone lookup . This way I can find out who is actually attached to these particular phone numbers. It won’t stop these people from calling me, but at least I’ll know who’s calling and then can decide if I want to answer it.

Yay! The children went back to school this morning. I survived March break! Last week both the kids were home from school and let me tell you all it really wasn’t a fun week. The weather was kind of crappy so the kids were stuck in the house most of the time so that made for a lot of fighting and not a whole lot of work got done. But early this morning they both walked down the road to catch their buses and now I sit here alone in my home in the quiet. I have so much work to get done today like finding auto insurance at cheapestautoinsurance.net but I really don’t mind as I have the time to do this. So… although I have a ton of work to get done today I’m still going to be in a great mood all day and all this extra work really doesn’t bother me.

One sure sign that spring is on it’s way is when the time changes and the clocks spring ahead an hour. Well, that’s what’s going to happen this weekend. Daylight savings time will kick in which will officially mark the end of winter and the start of spring. So… there’s a few things we are going to need to do to get ready for the spring season. One of the things we will need to check into is how much a rv repair is going to cost us. Plus we will need to insure our trailer for the camping season. So with these two things on the agenda it’s a sure sign that spring is finally on it’s way. Thank God!

Right now as I sit here typing this post it is minus 18 degrees outside with a windchill temp of minus 30. That’s cold! It was so cold this morning that I actually had to pull on my boots and drive the kids to the bus stop. Normally they both walk but I couldn’t take the chance of their buses being late and them having to stand out in the bitter cold waiting for the bus. Holy crow, I really hope it warms up soon!

Okay, I am seriously done with winter! I have had it with all the snow, ice and cold. So I have decided to do something about the winter blues that seem to be hanging on forever this year. I am going to start my spring cleaning a little early this year. Over the weekend I purchased some green cleaning supplies and now am so ready to get this house cleaned out for spring. Usually when I start to spring clean I can manage to get my winter blues under control. So I’ve decided to start this cleaning and hopefully soon clean away all signs of winter.
