A special couple of days coming up
Well another year has come and gone. Next Sunday is Mother’s day and next Monday is my birthday. Yes, that’s right, two special days in a row! Last night my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother’s day and my birthday and I honestly couldn’t give him an answer. But after coming across a site this morning, I can now tell him that he can buy me some romantic birthday gifts at Shari’s Berries. I really don’t NEED anything, so anything he picks out will be super. So tonight after he gets home from work, I think I will direct him to this site.
Easter shopping
I really don’t know why I do this. I put off my Easter shopping until the last possible day each year. And this year is no different. So now I have to go out and do all my Easter shopping this weekend when the stores are at their busiest. I really should have ordered some dereon clothing online and then I wouldn’t have to go into the stores. But since I didn’t now I get to go shopping with half the people in my town. Can you tell I’m not quite looking forward to this little adventure?!
Special day today
Well today is a very special day at our house. Not only is it Valentine’s day, but it is also my husband’s 44th birthday. So I would like to take this opportunity to wish him a very happy Valentine’s day as well as a very happy birthday. We don’t have a whole lot of plans for tonight. Just a special supper and some cake with the kids. He is not a fan of birthdays so we really don’t go nuts on this day. I did dig out a couple of my gold coins and purchased him a present but other than that it’s going to be a quiet celebration.
Surprise present
So I just cleaned out the area around my water heater and guess what?? I found a Christmas present. I wasn’t snooping, honest. But my husband had hidden (not very well mind you) a digital camera. I had been looking at Caméscopes numériques in the store a couple of months ago and I guess he remembered. Now, all I have to do is act seriously surprised Christmas morning so I don’t spoil the surprise.
Final purchases
Yesterday we had no power in our home for over 13 hours. So what do you do when you have no power? Well you go shopping. That’s what you do. So I headed out to the stores yesterday to finish up my Christmas shopping. I finished my husband’s shopping and the kids as well. I was looking for a skeleton key for my husband but since wasn’t able to find one. So I bought him a bunch of tools instead. So…. the Christmas shopping is officially DONE and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Shopping with the kids
Any parent can tell you that finding time to go Christmas shopping without your children is a chore and a half. Especially if you don’t have a babysitter, which is our case. Well the other day my husband was in one of our stores with the two kids and seen that they had a really great price on laptops with custom usb drives. So he purchased it. Now here’s the funny part. The laptop is for my daughter and she was there with him. He just told her it was for me and she bought it. How neat is that?!
