So I just cleaned out the area around my water heater and guess what?? I found a Christmas present. I wasn’t snooping, honest. But my husband had hidden (not very well mind you) a digital camera. I had been looking at Caméscopes numériques in the store a couple of months ago and I guess he remembered. Now, all I have to do is act seriously surprised Christmas morning so I don’t spoil the surprise.
Yesterday we had no power in our home for over 13 hours. So what do you do when you have no power? Well you go shopping. That’s what you do. So I headed out to the stores yesterday to finish up my Christmas shopping. I finished my husband’s shopping and the kids as well. I was looking for a skeleton key for my husband but since wasn’t able to find one. So I bought him a bunch of tools instead. So…. the Christmas shopping is officially DONE and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Any parent can tell you that finding time to go Christmas shopping without your children is a chore and a half. Especially if you don’t have a babysitter, which is our case. Well the other day my husband was in one of our stores with the two kids and seen that they had a really great price on laptops with custom usb drives. So he purchased it. Now here’s the funny part. The laptop is for my daughter and she was there with him. He just told her it was for me and she bought it. How neat is that?!
If you’re anything like me, then you are already scrambling to find that perfect gift for your husband. Well I go through this every year. Every year I end up purchasing him a gift card from Canadian Tire and just end up letting him pick out his own gift. Well I’m happy to report that this year I’m doing something a little differently. I ran across a site over at huskskytoolsnews.com where I can purchase him the absolute best tools on the market at extremely reasonable rates.
Since he’s a mechanic by trade, he is always looking for new tools. On this site I found a 13pc PowerTek Precision Screwdriver Set for less than ten dollars. That’s right folks, I’m not kidding! They also have tons of other tools available for you to purchase and they are all under $20.00.
So… sorry Canadian Tire, there will be no purchase from me this year. I’m going to be shopping for Husky Tools instead. I can’t wait to see the look of surprise on my husband’s face this year when he sees actual presents under the tree instead of an envelope.
I have a 12 year old daughter and I’m having a seriously hard time finding her some Christmas presents. She is at the in-between stage right night. She is too old for a lot of the younger gifts and she is too young for some of the teenage gifts. So I’m having a real problem finding her the perfect gift. I have been checking out some kodak digital cameras for her. She loves to take pictures and scrapbook so I’m thinking a camera might just be the perfect gift. I don’t know… I guess I’m going to have to keep searching.
Well with only three months left to go until Christmas I decided it was time that I made a stab on all my Christmas shopping. So last night I went shopping. I seen a lot of cool items (like pond filters) but didn’t find a whole lot of presents that I wanted to buy. So my shopping trip really was kind of a bust. I did find a few items, but didn’t even come close to what I wanted to get done. But there is still three months left so I haven’t hit the panic mode quiet yet. I’ll just have to go to a different store next time.
Although it’s only September, it really isn’t too early to think about Christmas now is it? Now that we’ve got the kids back to school and all that extra shopping done, it’s time once again to put on our thinking caps for personalized gifts for the family for Christmas. Every year it gets more difficult to buy for my father in law and his wife and this year is no exception. So I would like to find them something different this year. I have a couple of months to think up great ideas so I’m not panicking yet. But I know the time is drawing near.
