Last night I was doing a bit of scrapbooking and was looking through some older pictures of my daughter. She has changed a lot over the years and is really becoming a beautiful young lady. But she is also growing up. She now has a boyfriend, talks about the best treatment for acne and has other major (to her they’re major) concerns in life. I knew this time was going to come in her life, but I really thought I had a few more years of her just being a little girl. Guess not. The time has come and my daughter is now becoming a little lady.

Well if you follow my blog on a regular basis, then you are well aware of how technology challenged I am. Well I am reaching out to you all on some advice concerning a technology issue. Yesterday my daughter (who is in grade 7) came home with a note from her tech teacher that she needs a new flash drive for her tech class. So because I am absolutely not a tech kind of person I have no clue on which brand to get her. Also I am unfamiliar with the cost of little devices. So… if you can give me a hand with this as well as some advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

There is still five days left in the kid’s Christmas vacation and honestly I don’t know if I’m going to make it. They have been fighting non stop and I have had a headache for the past four days. I honestly thought they wouldn’t fight quite so much this time around as they have lots of new toys to play with. But it seems that this doesn’t matter. Honestly some days I wonder if they fight just to see if my head is going to pop off. Oh well, Tuesday will be here before I know it and then I will have the QUIET house all to myself!

In about an hours time I will be headed out of the house to the skating rink. My son’s class is skating this morning and he likes it when I go to watch. I’m not thrilled with this idea myself. But, I guess that’s what I have to do when I’m a mother. I will be stopping at the local coffee shop before and after the rink so I’m hoping this will keep me warm.
Have a great day guys and stay warm!

Any parent can tell you that finding time to go Christmas shopping without your children is a chore and a half. Especially if you don’t have a babysitter, which is our case. Well the other day my husband was in one of our stores with the two kids and seen that they had a really great price on laptops with custom usb drives. So he purchased it. Now here’s the funny part. The laptop is for my daughter and she was there with him. He just told her it was for me and she bought it. How neat is that?!

Well later on this afternoon I will be headed down to the drug store once again. It seems that lately I spend an awful lot of time there. This time I need to go pick up some medicine for my youngest son. He has been home from school for the past few days with a serious cough and cold. I’m really hoping that this is all it is and it’s nothing more than a cold. So I’ll pick up some cough medicine, some Advil, some cough drops and probably some natural acne treatments for me as well.

I am starting to have some serious concerns regarding my youngest son. He is now 10 but is very, very tiny for his age. Right now he wears size seven pants. He is the smallest boy in his class and now that’s he’s in grade 5 this is starting to bother him quite a bit. Actually last night he started talking about taking muscle building supplements. Now he’s only 10 so that is NOT going to happen. But it really does break my heart to hear him say things like this. I really hope he starts to grow soon that way he can once again start to feel good about himself.

Well this is the first sick day of the school year. My son woke up this morning with a fever and a stomach ache so I kept him home from school. I hope it’s nothing serious and just the stomach flue or something. I’m going to the drug store a little later to get some children’s Advil for him and hopefully that will do the trick. At least I don’t have to purchase a fat burner for him. Hopefully a bit of Advil and he will be good to go once again. At least it’s the weekend so he does have a couple of days to shake this.

Today is the first day of school for the children in our area. And if all the other parents around here are as happy about this as I am, then there is going to be a lot of happy parents around today. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my children dearly. But after having them home for 70 days it really was time for them to go back. My daughter was quite happy to go off to school this morning, but my son not so much. He will be fine once he gets there and I’m sure he’ll have lots of stories to tell me when he gets off his bus.

Well I’m getting ready to have some serious “me” time. In about a week’s time my two children will be back in school and once again I will have the house all to myself! I can’t wait! It’s been such a long summer having these two underfoot and with all their fighting, I’ve been slowly going crazy. But all this will end in about a week. Then I will have loads of time to get busy with all my crafting, cleaning and I might even have a bit of time to browse the local jobs ads. But… all I have to do now is put in this last week and I will once again be a free woman (at least during the day).
