Well if you follow my blog on a regular basis, then you are well aware of how technology challenged I am. Well I am reaching out to you all on some advice concerning a technology issue. Yesterday my daughter (who is in grade 7) came home with a note from her tech teacher that she needs a new flash drive for her tech class. So because I am absolutely not a tech kind of person I have no clue on which brand to get her. Also I am unfamiliar with the cost of little devices. So… if you can give me a hand with this as well as some advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

In about an hours time I will be headed out of the house to the skating rink. My son’s class is skating this morning and he likes it when I go to watch. I’m not thrilled with this idea myself. But, I guess that’s what I have to do when I’m a mother. I will be stopping at the local coffee shop before and after the rink so I’m hoping this will keep me warm.
Have a great day guys and stay warm!

Today is the first day of school for the children in our area. And if all the other parents around here are as happy about this as I am, then there is going to be a lot of happy parents around today. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my children dearly. But after having them home for 70 days it really was time for them to go back. My daughter was quite happy to go off to school this morning, but my son not so much. He will be fine once he gets there and I’m sure he’ll have lots of stories to tell me when he gets off his bus.

Well I’m getting ready to have some serious “me” time. In about a week’s time my two children will be back in school and once again I will have the house all to myself! I can’t wait! It’s been such a long summer having these two underfoot and with all their fighting, I’ve been slowly going crazy. But all this will end in about a week. Then I will have loads of time to get busy with all my crafting, cleaning and I might even have a bit of time to browse the local jobs ads. But… all I have to do now is put in this last week and I will once again be a free woman (at least during the day).

Three weeks from today my children will be back on that yellow school bus! Yay! They have been home on school vacation for almost two months and I am so ready for them to go back to school. They have been fighting so much this summer that it has prompted me to check out some Branson vacation packages just in case I need to get away. No, I’m kidding it’s not quite that bad. But I can tell you I will be one happy momma in about three weeks.

Holy smokes! It’s going to cost me a fortune this year to send my two children back to school. On Saturday we decided to get a head start on all the shopping and I walked out of the store $323.00 poorer. Now this was mainly clothes and a small amount of school supplies. I still have to finish buying the rest of the school supplies, pay student fees and start stocking up on lunch supplies. I only have to put two kids through school now. I can just imagine what others are paying that have three, four or five children.

My daughter is just finishing up grade 6. We were just informed that she made the honor roll this year! I am so proud of her. I can’t even tell you how much. She worked really hard this year and tried to make the honor roll. Well she succeeded. Thursday night is her awards ceremony and you can just bet I’ll be there with my camera and binoculars. I can’t wait to see her accept her award. Hopefully this trend continues on throughout middle school and high school.

Well both of the children brought home their report cards this week. My daughter’s report was very, very good. But, I have to say I was quite disappointed in my son’s. Not only did most of his marks go down, but he also has been having trouble with his behavior as well. Hopefully he can pick these things up. I would think that gift ideas for mother’s day could be a good report from this child. So he’s got a little over a month to pick up the pace and then I think I’ll have to think of something major to get him back on track.

Well the two kids have officially ended their second terms in school. So far so good. Both the kids are doing quite amazing in their school work, and I really can’t see any problems ahead for the remainder of the school year. Every year we buy the kids a grading present if they grade (which they have in the past), and this year will be no different. I have already started looking at grading presents (because I know at this point they will both pass) and have thought of a really neat idea. I plan on purchasing them both personalized basketballs. They are both heavily into this sport and I think this would be such a neat idea. So… if their third term of school goes as well as their other terms did, then I guess I’m going to have to start forking out some money.

Haha, the kids had school this morning! The weatherman was way…. off on his prediction and we never got anywhere near the amount of snow that he was calling for. Man…. was my youngest son mad. He was looking forward to a day of watching the Olympics and playing video games. Me… I was extremely pleased that the weatherman was wrong. This meant I was able to get all my computer work done and even had a bit of time to browse the Internet in search of anti wrinkle serums (old age is creeping up don’t ya know). I am very pleased the weatherman was wrong, the kids not so much.
