And That’s….the Truth

Well after being employed at the same restaurant for over 10 years as a waitress, my company has decided that I need a refresher course on how to be a waitress. To say I’m not impressed with this little idea is a mild understatement. I’m actually quite mad about the whole thing and my manager is well aware of my feelings on this matter. But since I’m not ready to leave my place of employment (yet), I have to take this stupid course. I told the manager I will be there, but I’m not happy about it! I think if this crap continues on I will be leaving sooner rather than later.

I think it’s time to look for a new job. I’m thinking about looking into some sort of administration job. For ten years I have been a waitress at a busy restaurant, but do have a marketing diploma from our local community college. I haven’t done anything with my marketing diploma as normally I do love my job. But, I’ve started to become dissatisfied once again with my waitressing position. I am going to wait until after the holidays and see if I still feel this way. If I do, then I just might be moving on.

My husband is in a much better mood these days. He has been off work, on vacation, since Saturday. He really, really needed this time off. He still has today and tomorrow for his vacation and I’ve got to tell you all that I don’t think I’ve seen him so relaxed in months. I guess he feels the same way as I do when I find the best acne creams that actually work. Too bad he has to go back to work on Wednesday, I’m kind of getting used to this nice relaxed man.

With Christmas coming close at hand, who could not use extra money?? I know I can. So for the past month or so I have been actively looking for ways to earn some extra online income. One area I have been looking at is entering a Forex mentoring program. I think this would be a neat and exciting adventure and could possibly help me to earn that extra cash I am in so dire need of. I’m going to check it out a little more closely before I make any decisions. But it definitely is one area that I’m going to look at quite closely.

So I have made some decisions regarding my online life. Currently I spend a lot of time on the computer and I think I’m getting burnt out. So I have made some heavy decisions. When the kids go back to school (in less than two weeks) I’m going to cut back the amount of time I spend on my computer. I’m going to cut back on a few blogs (currently I have seven), slow down a bit on the general transcription and then try to get my crafting business back up and running. If I need some extra cash I can always pick up some extra shifts at work. So these are my plans for now.

I normally have weekends off at my outside job, normally work on my computer the entire weekend so I really don’t get a true weekend off. Well I have made a decision. I am taking the weekend off! I am taking the entire weekend off from working on my computer. I’m normally on here seven days a week and am starting to get burnt out. So if you don’t see me around till Monday morning, don’t be alarmed. It’s just my weekend off.

So as most of you know I do some general transcription at home for a couple of people. Well lately this work has kind of been taking over my life. Both my clients keep me pretty busy. Now normally I love doing this type of work and I make a little bit of money doing it so most of the time I’m happy with my choice of employment. But over the weekend I wasn’t. I had one file that had a lot of words in it like nuphedragen and I spent a lot of time researching these words which cut down on my typing time. So this file took me quite a while to do so I didn’t make a whole lot of money on this file. Hopefully I won’t see a file like this for a very long time and I can once again increase my typing speed which will help me earn more money.

I really do hate the split shifts at work. I almost despise them as much as I hate writing articles on topics that I’m not really familiar with. Yesterday I was given an assignment to write about noxycut and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t my best work as I really had no clue what I was talking about. But like this article, my split shifts will come to an end real soon as well. I’m really hoping that today is the last day that I have to do one of these. Really, if this keeps up much longer I really might go insane.

Every morning when I wake up I lay in bed and go through in my head what I need to do for the day. Well this morning as I was laying in bed, and thinking about purchasing some prada shoes, I was trying to remember that there was something special that I needed to do. I almost forgot! I need to go to work today for 12:00 instead of 5:00. That would have been a major mistake on my part if I hadn’t remembered. But, I did so at 11:30 I will be leaving my house to go to work. Man I hate when things change.

I really have to wonder if this situation occurs commonly or if this is a unique situation to my place of employment. Why is it that when people apply for a job, they are willing and eager to work as much as possible. But when they do obtain the job and start working then they decide they don’t want to work after all??? This happens all the time and I’m starting to get really sick of it! We have so much staff at my work, but most of them don’t want to work so we are constantly working short. So… this situation is really starting to get on my nerves. There’s really nothing I can do about it (I’m not management), but if there were…. the entire place would be restaffed. If it were up to me that is.
