Well both kids did end up getting their school pictures re-taken. And… they both sucked! I have to tell you all that had I known how the re-takes were going to come out I would never have gotten the re-takes. But since I did, I’m now stuck with those. So this morning I sent both kids with their pictures back to school with a check to purchase the school pics. But I didn’t buy very big packages. Usually I buy the big packages but not this year. Only immediate family is getting the pics and I’m just going to chalk this year up to a bad picture year. I will NEVER order re-takes ever again!! I definitely learned my lesson this time.

Well we’ve already had one snow storm this year and by the sounds of things we are in for another storm in the near future. So we’ve really got to get ready for this one. It’s not like we have to worry about storm shelters or anything like that, but we’ve got to put the camper away, put the kids bikes away and clean up the driveway so we’ll have a place to put all the snow when it does come. Oh well, we live in Canada so we kind of can expect this kind of weather. It’s just that I hate winter so much and getting ready for it means that it’s coming.

About a month ago both my kids had their school pictures taken. And to tell you all that they were both horrible, that is a serious understatement. For the first time ever in both of their academic careers I did not order a package and did ask for these kids to have retakes. Well today is that day. I am seriously hoping that both of them bring home better proofs than they did last month. But if not, I’ll still have to order them as I haven’t gone a year yet without ordering them. I just won’t order big packages. So keep your fingers crossed folks that these two produce two great pics!

With the upcoming season fast approaching I have made out of list of things I need to get done and let me tell you all it’s not pretty. Yes I know I still have a couple of months but honestly by looking at this list, I really have to wonder how I’m going to get it all done. I really wish I could afford to hire durham maid service to do all my cleaning so I could at least mark that off my list. But… I can’t so I guess that’s something I’ll have to do myself. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Christmas, I just hate the amount of work it takes to get ready for it. Oh well, it only comes once a year so I guess I can just suck it up.

No, it’s not what you think all. This morning on the news I heard that we are getting SNOW on Friday. Well to me, that’s a little to early to start the season. I don’t even have the kid’s breeches, winter coats or boots dug out yet. But whether I like it or not, the snow is coming. Maybe the weather man will be wrong and we won’t get it quite yet. Yeah, I know it’s coming, but please mother nature give me time to prepare.

Over the past couple of months I have become obsessed with the “Extreme Coupon” show. I watch it faithfully every week and try to take some lessons away from each show on how to become an extreme couponer. Well I have started searching the Internet for great coupon sites and am happy to report that I have found a few. A few of my friends have suggested some sights and I have found sites like armani exchange coupons on my own. So I guess I am making some headway in my couponing career. ha,ha. Oh well, whatever can help save my family some money in the long run, I’m going to do it.

Well I’ve got to tell you all that after being employed at the same restaurant for over 11 years I never thought this day would come. And this day would be the day that I would have to possibly start looking for a new job. Man… I’m just too old to start over. My place of employment is starting to get a lot of competition in our area and business has slowed down to pretty much a crawl. So I think it’s just a matter of time that I could be forced to look for something new. It’s times like this that I really wish I was qualified to work in some Network Engineer Jobs so I wouldn’t have to worry about job security. But… it is what it is and I’ll just have to sit back and see if I will in fact have to start looking for a new job.

I ask myself this question every day. Where did the time go this year?? It seems like it was only yesterday when I was bustling around trying to get our family and home ready for Christmas. And now Christmas is just around the corner and I’m starting to do all this bustling once again. Every year I put off my purchasing, wrapping, cleaning and baking but not this year. This year I am determined to have it done way ahead of time so I’m not struggling at the last minute. I’ve already made a couple of purchasing online and have been checking out some Luminox watches for my husband. Hopefully I can keep this up and in December I will be posting that I am all ready for Christmas ahead of time. Time… will tell I guess.
