Money for school

I honestly don’t know how parents who have three or four children in school manage their money. I only have two that are in school and so far it has cost me a fortune to send them back to school with no end in site. Just before school started we had to go out and purchase them brand new clothes, and an entire scribbler page full of school supplies. Now your probably asking is this the end. Nope! It’s just the beginning.

Yesterday both kids came home from school requesting money. My son (who is the cheaper of the two) needs $23.00 in school fees. I wish I could say that this money will cover all expenses during the school year, but it won’t. They will continue to ask for more throughout the year. My daughter needs $35.00 in school fees AND $70.00 for her violin rental and violin lessons.

These prices wouldn’t be too bad, but the school expects this money in the next week. Well with no paycheck coming in this week, they are just going to have to wait for it. Hopefully by the time we get these fees paid off, they won’t be coming home from school requesting more money. But…I hate to say it. They probably will.

Looking for a new vehicle

It seems like once a year my husband gets on the kick of purchasing a new vehicle. Well I guess it’s that time. All weekend long he was driving around different car dealers to see what they have to offer. Currently he is looking at purchasing either a small truck or an SUV. I honestly don’t know why we would need a vehicle of this size but this is what he wants. I told him last night that we could always check out different truck rental companies if we ever needed to haul anything big. But he seems to think that having our own truck would make more sense. We will see I guess. If this vehicle purchasing process ends up the way that it normally does, he will look and look and look and then not end up buying anything anyway.

Still finding my way

As you all know about a year ago I starting setting up a home crafting business. I have set up a website and blog, I have done a lot of word of mouth advertising (free) and I have even tried selling my stuff on Etsy. Well I have to say that although I’m really not seeing the business that I would like to be, I have been doing a little bit of business. So to kick up my advertising efforts, I have been considering purchasing some promotional items. I have thought about purchasing some magnets, postcards and business cards. I realize that for any business to become a success you need to get the word out of your existence. And I really think that by using promotional items, I could get the word out much more quickly. And the more people that know about my business, possibly the more sales I could look forward to.

Thank you Entrecarders

Yesterday I did as post about how bad my Entrecard experience was for that day and for the days previous to it. Thankfully some of you Entrecard droppers heard my plea for help and left me a couple of great tips for maximizing my time at Entrecard. So, this morning I followed your advice and I just wanted to tell you that I had a lot better experience with my dropping efforts this morning. I was able to drop my cards as quickly as I wanted to and even was able to comment on a few blogs along the way as well.

There are two main reasons why I love the Entrecard system. The first being the huge amount of traffic that it drives to my blogs and the second would be because of the helpful and extremely nice people that are participating in this community. So…Thanks again guys! You saved my sanity!!

Kids are back in school!

Yeah, summer vacation has ended and the kids are back in school. The only bad thing about all this is that I am now very poor. Sending two kids back to school has been a costly adventure. With having to purchase new school clothes, new school supplies and paying out a lot of student fees, my wallet is pretty bare right now.

But, I have one more purchase to make and that would be a DYMO Labelmaker. I really want one of these because I would like for the kids to be able to have their name on everything I have bought. This way there is no mistake about what items are theirs are what items are not. I have just finished checking out global.dymo.com and I have to say that I am highly impressed with the products they are offering. Not only do they have a great selection of products to choose from, but their prices are extremely reasonable as well.

And the good thing is, is that after I make of purchase of one of these label makers, I can also use it for my household items as well. Because I do a lot of crafting, I have a lot of supplies and it would be great to have one of these label makers to label all my crafting supplies. So these products are not only useful for sending the kids back to school, but they make a great crafting accessory as well.

Painful Entrecard dropping today

For the past few days my Entrecard dropping has being going pretty slow but today has been the absolute worst. It has taken me forever to drop my cards on sites just from one of my blogs. I can’t imagine dropping from all of them. So I am asking for a little guidance here. This question is going out to all you Entrecard veterans. How do you do your drops? And how do you do them quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to do them so quickly that I don’t stop and read blogs, but I would like to drop 300 cards a bit faster than I have been. So if you have any advice or guidance you don’t mind sharing, I would greatly appreciate it.

They set the date

Well my father in law asked my husband if his suit still fits him. My husband has put on a little weight this summer and my father in law is a little concerned that my husband’s suit won’t fit him in time for the big day. They have set the date to October 25. So that gives us a little time to either see if the suit fits him or possibly start piling him full of diet pills. No, I’m just kidding, he doesn’t need the diet pills quite yet. I’m sure the suit will fit him as he hasn’t put on that much weight, but if it doesn’t we will just have to buy him a new one. I just think it’s quite amusing that with all my father in law has to worry about, he is worry about my husband’s weight gain.

Getting ready for back to school

This time of year is one of the more expensive times of year for all parents. Yes, I’m talking about back to school. With two kids headed back to school my pocket book tends to get a little stretched this time of year. So because I have two of them that I need to purchase clothes and supplies for I am always on the lookout for the best places to buy Cheap Clothing.

One place I frequent quite often is over at GetHeavenly.com. This site is amazing. They have the very best selection of Discount Clothing. Everything on their site is $17.95 or less. And with any purchase of $75.00 or over they will give you free shipping. All their clothing is of the very best quality, but with the very best prices. They supply everything you would ever need to get your kids ready to head back to school and for a limited time you can also get up to a 10% discount on all back to school shopping. So to all you parents out there, if your looking for good quality clothing at extremely low prices, then I highly suggest you head on over to this site.
